Everyone feels they can lose some weight. Based on our lifestyles, most Americans could probably stand to lose at least ten to twenty pounds. We all know we should eat right and exercise to lose this weight. There are many New Years Resolutions to lose weight. Generally by February, the goal is washed. What happens? I thin what happens is the realization that exercising is mostly not fun and hard work. What can we do to fix that?
One idea I ran across was to make exercising fun. We do not need to get on the rowing machine or the treadmill. We just need to find something that works up a sweat for around 30 – 60 minutes per day. Our children would love our attention. Giving them piggyback rides, playing ball with them, going bike riding with them. Going day hiking in the nearby hills or parks is another idea. All of these things are exercise and good for you and it will build your relationship with your children.
Another idea is somewhat like work for some people and relaxation for others. Doing yard work or working in the garden is an exercise day. Or cleaning the house. Do something consistently for around 30 minutes per day. Make not of what you have done. Doesn’t it feel good to have accomplished something and realized you have actually burned some calories.
Doing interval exercising is another simple way to lose weight. Interval exercising is doing something fast and hard for a short time and then doing something slow and relaxing for the same period of time. For instance, Run hard for one minute and then walk for one minute, then do it again. Do this at least for 10 minutes but no more than 20 minutes. The strange thing is that for hours after this exercise period, your body is still burning calories. It is a great regiment.
There are many simple home exercises you can do without having to go to the gym or invest in exercise equipment. The basic push-ups and pull-ups are some ideas. Another is to do squatting exercises. Setting up a chair or a low table to do steps is another effective exercise.
Another method to lose weight is to supplement our diet with the missing vitamins and minerals we are not getting with our eating habits. Scientific studies have found close relationships between obesity and vitamins. People with deficiencies in vitamins have a harder time losing the fat mass and lose less fat during fat burning exercises. Thus even though you may have a great weight loss exercise program, if you are not getting the right natural nutrients, you stand less of a chance to actually lose weight.
The vitamin B5 is absolutely necessary for generating energy in the body. Since energy is essential for weight loss, the presence of vitamin B5 is a requirement for weight loss. Vitamin B5 is available in meats, eggs, wheat bran, cheese, oats, dried fruit and brown rice. The vitamins contained in USANA Essentials will help to provide nutrients needed for a weight loss regiment.
